Gilles Berthoud Leatherline
saddles and accessories |
There are five saddle models. They are named for climbs in the French Alps:
- Tour saddle stainless steel rails - Aspin
- Tour saddle titanium rails - Aravis
- Short tour saddle stainless steel rails - Marie Blanque
- Race saddle stainless steel rails - Soulor
- Race saddle titanium rails - Galibier
- Saddles with the "cork" finish cost slightly more than the saddles in black and natural colors.
- The "natural" color is not dyed and will vary with the hide. The "cork" effect is hand applied and will also vary.
- These saddles are waterproof and hand pre-softened.

Pierre Vernoux makes the racks for the
Berthoud touring bikes.
Racks are made to measure for each bike. They are
stamped with a number that corresponds with the serial
number of the frame.
While the racks are the embodiment of French tradition
they are also updated in design from time to time to
reflect improvements that Gilles identifies.
