Spine Concept

Saddlemaker Fi’zi:k illustrates a theory of saddle fit they call “spine concept. They have neat flash graphics of see-theu riders on bikes. If you are prone to analyzing your interface with the saddle it might be good food for thought. Maybe you can “Find the animal within you.” Just don’t ask me how it all relates to the Brooks models.
(Fi’zi:k is Brooks’ sister brand)

Fascinating web design. Interesting marketing concept. Since there are no women in the examples, I assume none of their ideas apply to (or will be useful for) me. Fortunately, I like my (first) Brooks saddle a whole lot (B-17 S), so it doesn't matter. . . .
The Arione is the most comfortable saddle I've ridden, but unfortunately it wore out and eventually broke in half within a year. How I wish it were more durable.
In a better world saddles could be fitted just as bicycles are. As hard as my B-17 narrow is, the signs are good that it might work well.
stupidiest thing ive seen in a while pertaining to bikes…and when it comes to bike stuff, there are an awful lot of candidates for stupidty…always coming from those who think riding 1000 kilometers (and in the rain twice) is a big year…
