Brooks Prices Reduced

Brooks Saddle Company has a new price list for the ’10-’11 season and we are pleasantly surprised to see that we can lower our prices, sometimes significantly,  on many Brooks saddles and bags. our wallbike.com site has been updated with the new prices.

Different Sort of Brooks Lacing

When Brooks riders (and the Brooks factory) want to firm up their saddles they lace the skirts and the holes and laces usually follow the edge of the skirt. Flickr photo-poster “Levature” did it a little differently. The higher laces look like they would have a more direct effect on the saggy top and they are above the saddle clamp.

Vans Shoes and Brooks Saddles

Website Bike Review reports that the Vans shoe company is coming out with a special Brooks edition shoe in saddle-matching leather. I don’t know anything else about them, except that they look pretty nice.

(The Swift saddle with some sort of pattern in the leather is new to me too.)

Interview With Brooks’ Steven Green

The Brooks saddle company has undergone a reniassence in the last decade. Steven Green, from Brooks, talks with the host of “The Bike Show” in this podcast. Steven talks about sourcing leather, The Sturmey Archer crises, life with Selle Royal, making saddles, and the future of Brooks. I learned quite a bit.
